Ryan Elementary has been my home away from home since 2001. My first year here, I was a first grade teacher. Since then I've moved to literacy and this will be my 10th year as a literacy teacher. In all, I have taught in BVSD for 16 years. My educational background includes a BA in Psychology and Elementary Teaching Certification from the University of Colorado. I also have an MA in Elementary Education with a focus on Reading and Literacy from Walden University. Whenever I am at home, you might find me working in the garden or with my nose in a book (surprise!). I have a house full of pets, including 2 dogs, a cat, a cockatiel, and 4 chickens. When we're not working on DIY home projects, my husband and I enjoy escaping to the mountains.
