I have been teaching in the field of Special Education since 1997. My career started in New Jersey where I taught preschool children with Autism Spectrum Disorders at the Douglas Developmental Disabilities Center. In 1999, I ventured to the colorful state of Colorado and continued my passion for teaching children with learning and behavioral challenges in the Boulder Valley School District. Most recently I worked at Aspen Creek K-8 teaching middle school students with special education needs. I earned my M.A. in Special Education from the University of Northern Colorado and a B.A. in Psychology from Rutgers University in New Jersey. When I'm not at Ryan teaching you will find me spending quality time with my husband and two young boys. We enjoy playing outside at the parks, going for bike rides, swimming and reading books together.
