I am so excited to be teaching ESL (English as a Second Language) at Ryan Elementary for my fifth year! I have been at Ryan since 2007. I was born in Laos, but I have lived in Colorado all my life. I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I also like to travel, but most of all, I love to try authentic cultural food!
I earned a master’s degree in Instruction and Curriculum and an ESL endorsement from the University of Colorado at Boulder. I first started my teaching career in a regular classroom. But my passion is working with second language learners! I have been working with second language learners since I was in high school. I feel so fortunate to be working with this group of students. They learn from me, but I also learn so much from them!
